Animesh Chakravorty
Animesh Chakravorty (born June 30, 1935) is a chemist.[1] He was awarded his PhD from Calcutta University and was Research Associate MIT and Harvard; Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur; Professor and Head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, IACS; Visiting Professor Texas A&M University; Hindustan Lever Research Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research. Guided fifty-eight PhD's and numerous Postdoctoral Associates; many of the former students have become well known personalities and are doing outstanding work in academic and industrial organizations in India and abroad.
